    Tighten 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
  2. Radio Bracket
    Procedure
    1. Release the two wire harness retainers from the radio bracket.
    2. Lower and reposition the radio bracket enough to access and disconnect the electrical connector from the navigation signal splitter.
    3. Transfer components as necessary.

  1. Radio
    Procedure
    1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
    2. Unlock the retaining tabs.
    3. After radio installation, perform the radio reset. Radio Reset

    Tighten 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

    Procedure
    Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool.

    Disconnect the electrical connectors.

    Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool.

ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLATION MICROPHONE REPLACEMENT

Removal Procedure

1. Lower the area of the headliner according to the location of the microphone being replaced.

3. Unlock the retaining tabs.

4. Active Noise Cancellation Microphone (1) - Remove.

Installation Procedure

2. Connect the electrical connector.

NOTE:

  • The felt tape covering the microphone and brackets is single use. Please discard the used tape and apply new tape over the microphones and brackets before re-installing the headliner.
  • The felt tape is NOT applied flush to the outboard side of the active noise cancellation bracket. There should be a ramp provided by the tape on the outboard side.
  • The tape is to be applied flush to the side of the bracket on every side EXCEPT the outboard edge, where the "ramp" is maintained.

Cut a piece of felt tape and attach the bottom edge of the tape, leaving 5 mm (0.20 in) of gap between the edge of the tape and the crease in the headliner. (a)

4. Apply the tape to the headliner up until the base of the active noise cancellation bracket, then to the top of the active noise cancellation microphone/bracket. (1).

5. Fold the tape over the inboard side of the bracket and on the fore/aft edges of the bracket.

6. Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Hatchback) Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Wagon) - Install.

AUDIO DISC PLAYER AND USB RECEPTACLE REPLACEMENT

    Procedure
    1. Unlock the retaining tabs.
    2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    2. Use a flat bladed plastic tool to remove.

HIGH FREQUENCY ANTENNA REPLACEMENT

Preliminary Procedure

It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only do those steps in headliner replacement that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part.

  1. High Frequency Antenna

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution.

Procedure

  1. Loosen the integral bolt.
  2. Disconnect the antenna cables.
  3. Feed the wiring and cable up through the hole in the roof panel.

Tighten
9 N.m (80 lb in)

USB RECEPTACLE REPLACEMENT

  1. USB Receptacle
    Procedure
    1. Depress the tabs on the receptacle to remove.
    2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

RADIO CONTROL SWITCH REPLACEMENT - STEERING WHEEL

Removal Procedure
